There is plenty of space for you to throw around toys and there are not too many trees, so you can throw a ball a reasonable distance without any interference. The dog park is part of the larger Bayou Gulch Park, which is available to you and your pup, as long as he is leashed, but parking for the dog park is adjacent. You can access the dog park off Fox Sparrow Road.
Douglas County law states that an owner who does not pick up after their dog can be fined $50. Keep your trip to the park inexpensive and be sure to pick up after your pup. In case you forgot your bag, the park provides them. Also for the humans, there is a portable toilet available. Water is also available for your dog if he gets thirsty. If you want to explore the rest of the park's trails and amenities, you and Fido can stroll down one of the many miles of trails, both paved and natural, just keep him on his leash.
When in the dog park, monitor your dog for appropriate interactions and make sure he responds to your call. Do not ever leave your dog or children unsupervised. All dogs must be vaccinated, neutered or spayed, and not in heat. Aggressive dogs are not welcome, and any bites should be reported to the Douglas County Sherriff's Office.
