Belle Isle Dog Park

Several small isles, including Belle Isle, connect Miami to Miami Beach. Most of these areas are filled with housing and luxury hotels, and Belle Isle also offers a public park where you can take your dog if you are passing through or someone you know happens to be staying in the area. 

The park is located in the center of the small island connecting Miami Beach to the city via Venetian Way. A winding, paved walkway guides you through the park, which is always green and filled with soft, well-maintained grass. There are plenty of amenities in the park, including water fountains for you and your dog and benches in the shade of trees, of which there are many. 

There are two separate enclosures within the dog play area so that large breeds and small breeds do not get in each other’s way, making this a good park for especially small, timid, elderly, or large dogs. While in the dog runs, no leashes are required, although you should always keep one on you in case you want to explore the surrounding area.

Belle Isle Dog Park is managed by the City of Miami Beach and is free for all to use. Poop bags are provided by the park, and trash is taken care of during the weekdays. Dog owners keep themselves to a high standard of cleanliness when it comes to picking up after their dogs, and as a result, the park is always clean and pleasant for all to use.
