Bill Archer Dog Park

West Houston pups are very furtunate to have the Congressman Bill Archer Dog Park. Spanning 17 acres, this pooch playground is currently the largest dog park in the city. Here, you and Fido will find plenty of room for off-leash play, as well as various canine and human amenities that make each visit a woofderful treat. So hop into the car with your best friend and head on down to this pawpular doggie hangout!

The Bill Archer Dog Park comprises two separate areas for large and small woofers. The little dog side is 3 acres, while the big dog section is 14 acres. In addition to being completely fenced and double gated, both areas feature bone-shaped ponds, agility courses, and walking paths. Covered seating areas are available by the ponds so you can stay cool in the shade while your furry charge pawfects their doggie paddle and plays in the water. Try to get your pup to complete the agility obstacles to test their athletic abilities, or take a stroll together on the trails so that you both get some exercise. The path in the big dog side is under a mile, while the one in the small dog section is about 0.3 miles. 

Be sure to stoop and scoop if your pooch answers nature's call. For your convenience, multiple bag dispensers and trash receptacles are scattered throughout the park. Forgot to bring your own water? This park has got you covered as well; drinking fountains for both people and puppers are available on-site. And if, after all that off-leash romping, you notice that your four-legged pal smells like a dog, head to the doggie showers outside the fenced areas and give Fido a good cleaning before you go home.
