This much-loved dog play area was founded and is maintained by the Friends of Lynchburg Dog Park, a group of community volunteers with a passion for providing a safe space where dogs can enjoy off-leash activity and proper socialization opportunities.
The group is actively fundraising for monies to move forward with planned park improvements. Donations are gratefully accepted and are tax-deductible. Entrance to Lynchburg Dog Park is extended to all dogs and their owners at no cost. This public dog playground offers two fenced spaces for dogs to enjoy.
One of the enclosures was designed with the needs of small dogs in mind and is reserved for their use. Small dogs may join the larger dogs in their run at their owner's discretion. To ensure all dogs remain safe during their play time at Lynchburg Dog Park, owners must provide active supervision and maintain a lead with them at all times.
Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the facility. This doggy play haven is home to a dog wash station, and there are plans in place for the runs to include drinking water for all dogs as well. It is not known if poop bags are provided or if there are bathrooms for public use at Lynchburg Dog Park.
This park is well-renowned for its clean and well-maintained grounds as well as the friendliness of the other dog owners, making it a pleasant place to visit. Lynchburg Dog Park requires all dogs visiting the park to be current on vaccinations and licensed with their respective city.
In addition to this, there are no cigarettes, food, or glass containers permitted on the grounds. Professional dog training is only allowed on the property with the express permission of the park management team. Looking for a great off-leash park to explore?
