Waller Mill Dog Park is a popular, paid dog park located in Williamsburg, Virginia. Prior registration is required in order to access the Waller Mill park grounds as well as the dog park. The price is $2 per vehicle and an additional $2 per day per dog. However, there are also annual membership passes that are definitely worth it, especially for the Williamsburg and James City County residents. Residents only pay $27 per year per dog and $10 for each additional dog.
The scenic Waller Mill Park and forest is located along a lake and offers a variety of activities for the whole family. You can fish, play cornhole games or rent a canoe or a kayak. There are also two outdoor playgrounds and a lot of hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulties. Dogs are allowed on the trails but need to remain on-leash.
The fenced, 1.5-acre dog park is located right by the main entrance to the park, adjacent to the parking lot. It consists of two, double-gated, off-leash areas. One is for small dogs (up to 30 pounds) while the other is for the larger dogs. Both enclosures provide plenty of running space, some groomed and ungroomed areas for canines to explore and tall, mature trees for shade. The large dog enclosure also features an agility course for dogs and will definitely wear your pup out.Ā
If your four-legged buddy still has plenty of energy to expel, take him on one of the hikingĀ trails and enjoy the lake views and lush greenery together. Trash cans are conveniently placed throughout the park, so make sure to clean after your dog and follow the parkās rules. There is plenty of seating, allowing owners to keep an eye out for their dogs at all times. Restrooms and a concession stand are also nearby.
The park is clean, well-maintained, and provides a safe environment for family and canine fun. From hiking and kayaking to picnicking and playtime at the dog park, it is a great place to spend a day in nature with the ones you love.
