Blue Island Bark Park, one of the 12 parks in the Blue Island Park District, is located in Blue Island, Illinois. A beautiful play space in a charming setting, Blue Island Bark Park offers two fenced areas where dogs can roughhouse, romp, and run, all without the encumbrance of a lead.
Since small, shy, and senior dogs often benefit from a space all their own, one of the enclosures is reserved for their use. Here, dogs can enjoy proper socialization opportunities and off-leash activity with dogs more suited to their age, size, and personality.
To ensure the safety of all dogs, it is mandatory for all owners to carry a leash with them. Blue Island Bark Park is a private dog play haven. Entrance to the grounds is accessible only to those who purchase a yearly pass. Passes can be obtained at the Blue Island Park District office and cost $25.
At the time of registration, owners must show proof of the following vaccinations: rabies, bordetella, distemper, and parvovirus. A waiver must also be signed, and proof of a city dog license must also be furnished. Park permits are valid for one year, effective April 1st through March 31st.
Once a membership application has been approved, owners will be given an identification tag and key which permits entrance to the grounds. Housed within the runs are all of the amenities Fido could need for a day of fun. The enclosures are complete with water access to ensure that Fido and his favorite canine pals can take a drink of cool water whenever the urge strikes.
There are also on-site activities to help keep Fido's brain and body sharp. For families looking for a place to recline, benches are provided in areas with plentiful shade from trees on the property. Complimentary poop bags are provided to assist owners with the cleanup of any waste materials from their pets. For a great time at a private park, why not plan a visit to Blue Island Bark Park?
