The nearby Glen Ellyn Park District boasts of many different attractions designed for the ultimate family fun experience. From miniature golf, swimming, and horseshoe pits in the summer to outdoor skating facilities in the winter and so much more, the Glen Ellyn Park District is a place with a little something to appeal to every member of the family.
Picnic areas are available on-site, and there are public bathrooms within the park district; however, it is not known how near they are to the dog park itself. Complimentary poop bags are provided to assist owners in the proper picking up and prompt disposal of any canine waste materials. Trash receptacles are located throughout the park.
Access to this private facility is available to members only. The yearly membership fee is $75, and at this time, there are no daily or weekly passes available. Upon acceptance of a member's application, you will receive a park permit which must be worn and visible at all times when making use of the facility.
Though the fenced enclosure is an off-leash site, park officials require that all dogs remain on lead prior to entering the play areas. In addition to this, it is required that all dogs attending the park be current on all vaccinations and bear the appropriate state license tag. Pinch, prong, and "spike" collars are not permitted on the premises.
Park officials request that no food for human or animal consumption be brought into the dog park area. Park access is prohibited for female dogs in the midst of their heat cycles and puppies under the age of 6 months. While children are permitted in the park, park regulations state that they must remain under the direct supervision of a parent and maintain appropriate polite behavior at all times.
