Dogout Dog Park (at Centennial Park) is a paid dog park located in Orland Park, Illinois. This highly rated dog park was opened in 2013 and operates on an annual, membership-only basis. The yearly fees are $25 and $10 for each additional dog for the residents of the Village of Orland Park or Orland Township, while non-residents have to pay $80 and $15 for each additional dog annually.
According to many of its patrons, the membership fee to this baseball-themed dog park is an investment that is definitely worth making. The dog park is three acres in size and accommodates both small dog breeds and the bigger hounds by having separate, labeled off-leash areas for both types to freely run around in. Both enclosures are securely fenced, have a double-gated entry system, and provide lots of space for dogs to play around in. There is plenty of shade, seating, and even agility equipment in each area. In addition to the all that, drinking fountains can be found throughout the dog park for both owners and their furballs to enjoy and the conveniently placed dog waste bag dispensers are never empty.
What makes this location so great, in addition to its size and amenities, is that there are a variety of events hosted in the dog park throughout the year, such as the Dog Out Easter Egg Hunt or the Boo at the Dogout Dog Park for Halloween. These events are usually free and welcome the entire community to participate and enjoy the park’s facilities.
Nature trails run throughout the Centennial Park, allowing owners to tire their pooches out a little bit before getting to the dog park (as long they are leashed). There are also bike trails nearby and plenty of parking. This wonderful dog park rarely gets crowded and it is a great place to bring your canine friend for some playtime and games of fetch in the vast, grassy open space.
