The off-leash, fenced-in park features mostly grass and there are trees for shade. On those hot days, there is also water provided for both drinking and showering your pup to really cool him off or hose him down before he gets in the car. Dogs love to roll in the dirt and you never know what they will pick up. Whatever your dog might pick up or put down, you should be sure to pick up after him. Bring your own waste bags so you can be a considerate visitor and keep the park clean.
If your dog wants to take a try at becoming more agile or active, he can use the agility and training equipment that is at the park. There are tunnels, fire hydrants, and other items strategically placed for Fido to have as much fun as possible. To keep the humans happy, there are benches under coverings so you can relax and stay cool. There are also plenty of trees to stay in the shade.
This park is a wonderful place, but remember to keep Fido on leash until he is in the doggie designated area. He is able to traverse throughout most of the park on-leash with you, but please confirm with the park where dogs can and cannot go. There is a great deal of wildlife at this park and from visitor's pictures, you can see that some animals seem to step onto trails to say hi to the two-legged visitors, so you want to make sure Fido is on the right trails.
