Bo's Run Dog Park is a membership-only dog park located at the Willow Park in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. In addition to the dog park, the Willow Park is home to a recreation center, sports courts, and a fitness center. The dog park can be found on the north side of Hoffman Estates, by the recreation center. Bo's Run Dog Park was named in Honor of Bo, the first Hoffman Estates Police department K-9.
The fully-fenced, two-acre dog park consists of two separate areas for dogs to enjoy leash-free. One area is meant for small dog breeds (under 25 pounds) while the other accommodates the more massive hounds. The park also features an entrance holding area which minimizes the risk of dogs slipping out as other patrons enter the park.
There is also agility equipment for more active dogs to take advantage of and train on. In addition to the above, there are canine water fountains to make sure the four-legged patrons stay hydrated during their visits. The park offers tons of free waste bag dispensers that are always filled, thanks to which the park is so clean and well-maintained. Trash cans are strategically placed by the waste bag dispensers and have lids to minimize unpleasant odors.
The park is lined with large, mature trees across the park, as well as lots of seating areas and picnic tables. The park's surface mostly consists of grass, but there are some woodchip areas as well. It is an excellent park for throwing a ball around with your canine companion or letting him enjoy chasing his four-legged buddies.
The annual membership fees for residents are $49 for the first dog and $15 for any additional dogs. For non-residents, the prices are $69 for the first dog and $20 for additional dogs. According to the regulars, the park access is worth the investment but if you are not sure - feel free to visit on a daily pass that costs $5 and can be purchased at the recreation center.
