If your pup needs to blow off steam, bring them to the Bradley Dog Park for some much-needed exercise and play! Nestled in the northeastern portion of the picturesque Laura Bradley Park, this fenced-in pooch playground is the pawfect location for Peoria's four-legged residents and visitors to run and roam without a leash. It's also a furrific spot to meet new doggie friends, so hop into the car with Fido and head on over to this pawsome canine hangout!
The 5-acre Bradley Dog Park is actually composed of two dog parks. The lower dog park, which can be reached via the south entrance off of Park Road, features two separate areas for large and small doggos. To the northwest is the upper dog park, where canines of all sizes can mingle with one another. Regardless of which section your pooch ends up in, there's plenty of room for them to chase after their furry pals and stretch their legs.
If you'd like to rest yours, take a seat at one of the picnic tables provided. Don't get distracted by the chitchat with the friendly pup parents, though, and always keep an eye on your charge. Be sure to stoop and scoop if Fido answers nature's call. Forgot to bring your own bags? Don't worry, pet waste stations are on-site to save the day. Dog water fountains are also available to rehydrate thirsty pups. On hot days, your pooch can jump into a kiddie pool or lie down in the shade of a tree to cool off.
The entire Laura Bradley Park is dog-friendly, so don't miss the chance to explore this 140-acre urban forest with your canine buddy. Active pups will especially love taking a walk on the paved but not-so-level paths that meander throughout the site.
For a woofderful time with Fido in central Illinois, look no further than the Bradley Dog Park!
