Although today many dog parks offer a separate playground area to address the needs of small, senior, or shy dogs, Bunker Hill Dog Park currently does not have one. Dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds are invited to join in the fun in the single on-premise enclosure.
Off-leash play is the focus of Bunker Hill Dog Park, but safety is the primary concern of the management team. To ensure all dogs remain safe during their play time at the park, owners must maintain easy access to a lead. When not enjoying the designated off-leash area, dogs must remain leashed.
Bunker Hill Dog Park is a public dog play haven, and entrance to the property is offered to dogs and their owners free of charge. Found within the play areas for the comfort and convenience of owners and their dogs are the following amenities: benches, shade trees, a large gazebo to offer shelter during inclement weather, poop bags, and toys.
Even though water bowls are available on the grounds, there is no water access. Neither is it known whether or not a bathroom is housed on the property for public use. To ensure Fido has the opportunity to wet his whistle when needed, owners should bring bottled water with them to the park.
This lovely park has not instituted any specific rules which govern the use of the dog playground. However, New York state law requires that all dogs in public areas be current on their rabies vaccination and licensed with the city. Proof of both must be carried at all times and must be furnished upon request. For a day of fun in a great New York park, bring Fido for a visit to Bunker Hill Dog Park!
