This beloved dog facility boasts of two fully fenced dog areas where dogs may run and play off-lead. There is one enclosure reserved for use by dogs of 25 lbs or less in weight. Though the dog runs are intended for off-leash use, dogs are not permitted to be off lead until they arrive at the enclosed play space. Park rules mandate that all owners have a leash with them during all play time at this facility.
Entrance to Burger Dog Park is available at no cost to the public. It is unknown whether or not bathrooms for use by park visitors are housed on the property. Since it is important to ensure your favorite furry friend has plenty to drink while visiting this great play space, visitors will be happy to note that Burger Dog Park offers fresh water access.
However, owners should bring a suitable dog dish to house water with them. Poop bags are provided via dispensers to facilitate the proper cleanup and disposal of all canine feces in accordance with Georgia state law. Park officials require that all dogs making use of the play areas be properly vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian and have an up to date city license tag. All dogs should bear evidence of this via dog tags.
The dog runs are well-shaded and offer limited seating where families can recline and enjoy viewing their dogs having fun. Visitors to this space lament that the seating is not adequate to accommodate all of the people making use of the park. With your comfort in mind, it is recommended that you bring a lawn chair or blanket with you.
Additionally, the park prohibits the use of spike collars in the play spaces. Also forbidden on the property are glass bottles, alcohol, liquids of any sort, food, and smoking. The play areas are reserved for roughhousing, running, and playtime only. Training is not permitted on the premises. For a relaxing day at a great park, bring Fido to Burger Dog Park!
