Formerly known as Allegheny Square, Campbell Square Park was created in 1864 and has plenty of amenities for you and your four-legged fur buddy to enjoy. You can find this fun three-acre park on East Allegheny Avenue in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Take your pup on a lovely stroll along the furrific walking paths that go around and through the park which are shaded. When you need a break or just want to enjoy the sights, there are plenty of benches along the way. Campbell Square Park does not provide clean up bags, so you will need to bring your own, but there are plenty of trash bins for your convenience.
This is a very pupular park, so you and your pooch will likely see a lot of other people, as well as other fur babies for your pup to play with. By law, your canine kid has to be on a leash of six feet or less while at the park, and they need to be up to date on their shots as well. In addition, if your doggo is a shy one, try to go on a weekday before school lets out when the park is not as busy.
However, if you and your fur puppy love crowds, you should visit Campbell Square Park during one of the many events that the park hosts all year long. Some of these include concerts in the park, family movie nights, flea markets, karaoke parties, Love Your Park celebrations, and holiday events like trick or treating, and the lighting of the Christmas tree with Santa as a special guest. Check the website for more information about these and other events at the park.
