Canine Corners Dog Park (at Searls Park)

The Canine Corners Dog Park is located at Searls Park. This is a membership only dog park that requires proof of vaccination and license as well as a $40 fee for residents and $50 fee for non-residents. You can also purchase a day pass for $5 per dog. 

Dog park passes can be purchased online or at the Rockford Park District in the Customer Service area during business hours. Pet parents will also be required to sign a waiver, rules, and release contract at the time of registration. This beautiful dog park is about four acres of spacious land designated for dogs to play, run and socialize. 

The Canine Corners Dog Park is fenced-in for security and to prevent dogs from escaping the area. There are tall lush trees that provide shade to help keep pet parents, and dogs cool on hot weather days. Benches are located throughout the dog park for pet parents to sit and rest while their dog enjoys playing off-leash with other dogs. 

There is a water spigot available next to the shelter where pet parents can fill up a community or individual water bowls. The water is not available during the winter season so make sure you bring along fresh water and a personal water bowl for your dog to enjoy. 

This dog park is spotless, and pet parents are encouraged to keep it clean. The park provides pet waste stations that supply doggie poop bags and a trash can conveniently located nearby. However, you should always bring your own supply of plastic bags to assure you clean up after your dog. 

Overall, Canine Corners Dog Park is a fantastic dog park that has plenty of space for dogs to exercise, run, play and socialize with other dogs. Pet parents also enjoy this park since there are benches, shade and a fenced-in area, so they don’t have to stress about their dog running out of the designated zone.
