The Canine Corners Dog Park at Elliot Park is near the golf course maintenance entrance. There is parking nearby, so you have a safe place where you leave your vehicle while you go frolic with your four-legged best friend. There is a shelter in the south area, and there is drinking water available for you and your pooch in the north area.
There is plenty of brush and paths for a great field exercise for your canine. Dog scooper bags are not available, so pet parents must remember to bring some to pick up their dog’s waste. All visitors to Canine Corners Dog Park at Elliot Park are expected to do their part in keeping the park clean.
An annual, semi-annual pass or one day pass is required for dogs to enter the park with their pet parents. A full season tag costs $40 for residents and $50 for non-residents, and a one-day pass costs $5 per dog. You can purchase day passes at either Rockford Park District Customer Service office during office hours or online.
It is a requirement to present the proof of current rabies vaccination. Dog owners are also required to sign a waiver and release contract.
