Carl Schurz Dog Park

Since living  in the city can get doggone hectic, it's good to have a place where your pup can let loose and have some canine fun. If your pal needs a break from their leash, head over to Carl Schurz Dog Park. Located inside Carl Schurz Park, this puptacular off leash area has great views of the East River. Your doggo will love getting their exercise is such a furrific place!

If you have a petite pooch, they will be happy to know that the park has separate runs for large and small dogs. This provides each canine guest the chance to romp around at their own speed. The small dog run has a cement surface and is for pups that weigh less than 23 pounds. On the other paw, the large dog run is covered in dirt and gravel. If your pupster plays in this area they may have dusty paws when they leave. If that's the case, just stop by at the rinse station before heading home. 

Once they enter the off leash area, your four legged sidekick can dart and dash around. This is a pupular park, so your pal will have plenty of furry playmates to engage with. They can romp and wrestle with their new friends or play a game of chase. Supervised visits to the dog park are a puptacular way for your doggo to socialize as well as get their wiggles out. 

Both dog runs have benches for pet parents. Nearby trees cast shadows on the dog park, so there's shade for the canine park patrons to enjoy. Be sure you bring a clean up bag so you can pick up after your pooch. Also, don't forget the water. Your pup will need a drink after all that playing! Be sure to clip the leash back on when leaving, and anywhere within the rest of Carl Schultz Park.
