Your pup probably requests to go outside several times during the day, and what better place to head to any time of the year than a park. The city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, offers Carroll Park with lots to do to satisfy any pup’s request!
Located in the West Philadelphia neighborhood of Carroll, parking is easily found on any of the side streets which encircle the park. Enter from any direction and get the adventure started!
You will find 5 acres of land here to explore. There are 8 paths which your pawtastic pup can choose from which begin at each corner and each side of the grounds. These run into the center of the park where there is a paved open area. Each of these 8 paths are interconnected with another path, forming a spider-like web pattern throughout the land. You and your pup can’t get lost, but they offer you plenty of variety in your walk! Choose a different path each time you visit! There are benches which are placed along the way, and many are shaded. Your pup will love the rest of the parkland which is filled with lots of grass!
Take some time to check out the children’s play area and enjoy the smiles on the kid’s faces! There are restrooms and drinking fountains which operate during the warm-weather months, so you will only need to bring water in winter! That is also a great time to visit as the city maintains the paths year-round! A leash is required to be kept on your furry friend at all times, and cleaning up after them is mandatory to keeping this park puptastic! Bring along your own clean up bags, and water to share.
Carroll Park will be tops on Fido’s list of great places to visit every day! Â
