This city is known as the 10th fastest growing city in America, offering strong parks and recreation services, and a healthy community, this is one place you must visit. Castle Rock has a dog park named, “Castle Rock dog park” which opened in September 2008 and has been thriving ever since. If you get the chance to visit beautiful Colorado, make sure to stop by with your furry friend.
This park has two sections, one is always closed off to allow the grass to grow back, to maintain that green grass ever pup loves to roll around in. Although there are no small dog areas, the park itself is fenced and can be reserved if your dog ever wants to host a party—invitation only. There are picnic tables, benches, and a water fountain just outside of the park, it is clean and well maintained by the city of Castle Rock.
If you are in a rush and forgot to bring supplies to clean up after your pet, the park offers bags and tools, so you don’t have to worry about it! This area is open for all pups, it is free of charge, and it has enough space for you and your little furball to explore and exercise. If you plan on staying there for a while, make sure you bring an umbrella to shade you from the beautiful sun.
Also, bring some toys in case your pup does not want to socialize with the other visitors in the park. It is the perfect place to relax and be lazy on a day where you want to be outdoors, but may not necessarily want to be doing agility activities. The park has a family-friendly environment, where you don’t have to fear of aggressive dogs or unfriendly people, the city itself has a small-town charm and offers acres of open space to enjoy.
