Cedar Lane Dog Park is a membership-only dog park located in Ossining, New York. The annual membership fee is $20 and is well worth it according to the park's regular patrons. The two-acre Cedar Lane Dog Park is securely fenced and provides a safe, secluded environment for dogs to play, exercise and socialize in without a leash.
The park is located within a larger, rustic park on top of a hill. It is surrounded by tall mature trees, and lush greenery which means finding a shaded spot to relax or cool off in is never a problem. The dog park’s layout consists of two separate areas for dogs to roam around in.
The smaller section is meant for small dog breeds while the main dog run accommodates large breeds and those that can keep up with the massive hounds. The park's surface consists of mulch and some woodchip-covered areas so that playtime is less muddy. However, as with most dog parks, it is always safer to bring a towel for your pooches paws, just in case.
The park's terrain is slightly sloped and includes some obstacles that dogs can exercise on. This makes it a great location for active dogs or those who enjoy chasing after balls down the hill. The surrounding area is serene and forested which makes it a very pleasant location to spend a day in.
In addition to the beautiful landscaping and location, the Cedar Lane dog park is equipped with everything you would need in a dog park. There are free waste bag dispensers and conveniently located trash cans. The park also features water fountains to keep canines hydrated throughout their visit.
You will find a generous amount of benches to outdoor lawn furniture for owners, sit back and relax as you watch your canine best friend explore and play with other four-legged furballs. To top it off, there is a dedicated parking lot which makes accessing the park even easier; it features a porta potty.
