Description

Charles A. Lindbergh State Park is an excellent park to relax and enjoy the outdoors with your dog. The park is a historical site that is located near the Mississippi River and surrounded by nature, wildlife, and spring flowers during the season. Canines are welcome at this park in the campground area which has electric, toilets, showers, sanitary dump stations, and secluded campsites options.

You can make reservations in advance with the Charles A. Lindbergh State Park office and inquire further about dog approved areas during the time of your visit. Generally, the campgrounds are the only area that allows dogs. You can have an excellent camping adventure with your dog. Your dog needs to have up-to-date vaccinations, proof of rabies vaccination tag, license tag and an identification tag.

Preparing for a great camping trip with your dog means being prepared. Pack a dog bed, blanket, fresh water, food, treats, toys and anything else that will help your dog feel comfortable at the campsite. Pet owners need to keep their dog on a leash that measures up to six feet at all times with the exception of being in a secured tent or RV with their pet parents.

You need to keep your designated campsite clean and prevent wildlife from invading the area. Always keep food in safe bins that deter animals from smelling it. This includes hiding dog food and treats as well. Carefully remove your dog from any dangerous situation that involves wild animals or other visitors at the Charles A. Lindbergh State Park.

Dog parents need to be responsible for the pets at all times during the visit to the Charles A. Lindbergh State Park. This includes using plastic doggie poop bags to pick up pet waste and dispose of it in a trash can with a lid. Overall, this is an excellent park to visit with your dog and have an overnight camping adventure.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
