Chase Dog Park - Gulfport

The Chase Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Gulfport, Florida. This dog park, which is located in the city's Chase Park, has parking spaces for vehicles on the street nearby. Unleashing a pup is not permitted until pup and pet parent are inside the designated off-leash area. This Gulfport dog park is a great place to give a dog some off-leash exercise time. 

It has been divided into two compounds so big and small fur babies don't need to play in the same space which makes it a whole lot safer for the little ones. It has not only been fenced with chain-link but also has a bushy hedge growing all the way around the perimeter plus there are quite a few trees for pups to loll under when the weather is hot. 

The grass is reasonably well maintained though the off-leash areas can turn into mini quagmires after heavy rain so pet parents should be prepared to clean mud from paws or get their pup some doggy boots. The addition of a couple of tunnels gives the dogs something more to do than sniffing grass and marking trees, but it is a short-lived diversion. 

Pet owners need to make sure their pup is wearing its license tag on its collar before taking them into the off-leash area. Unlicensed dogs are not allowed nor are ones who haven't completed their vaccinations, so young puppies below four months need to wait before starting their dog park socializing. On the subject of poop. Gulfport likes to keep it all separate. 

Just throwing a used bag in any old trash bin won't do at the Chase Dog Park. There are specific containers which have been provided for just that purpose and are marked accordingly. Owners should dispose of what they've scooped in those dumpsters and nowhere else.
