Chester Avenue Dog Park

Chester Avenue Dog Park is a beautiful dog play haven situated within Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This private dog park is open only to members and has a limited number (150) of spaces available per year. Membership applications must include the completed application form and waiver, the original copy of your dog's city license, and a rabies certificate. 

Also required at the time of application is a fee of $115 which includes the $50 yearly membership and the cost of a key which permits access to the park which is refundable upon the safe return of the key. Following receipt of the application documentation and fee payment, a member of the Chester Avenue Dog Park management staff will contact the potential member for an interview to determine the suitability of the dog and owner for park membership. 

Visitors to Chester Avenue Dog Park praise it for its beauty. Among the most loved features are the plenteous shade trees and vast open grass areas which are conducive to off-leash play. Housed on the property are two dog runs which are fully fenced. These areas are reserved for dogs to enjoy without the need for a lead. 

To ensure that smaller dogs do not accidentally get injured when playing with larger dogs, one enclosure is reserved specifically for their use. These enclosures also contain many items to help keep Fido entertained and engaged during his play time at Chester Avenue Dog Park. Among the amenities included in the dog playground sections are agility equipment, various toys and balls, and several swimming pools. 

Also contained on the property are comfortable chairs where owners can relax and unwind while their dogs enjoy some off-leash play. Though it is not known if bathrooms are situated on the premises for public use, water is provided to help quench Fido's thirst when the urge strikes.
