The City Bark at City Park is a fantastic space for your dog to roam and run off-leash! City Bark is equipped with amenities for your four-legged friend and you. There are adorable dog-bone shaped benches for you to rest your feet. Your dog will feel comfortable on the grass running around and playing with other pups. The park has two separate areas, one with grass for free play, fetch, and chasing each other.
The other area features agility equipment to train your dog. Your dog can practice running up and down ramps, running through tunnels, and jumping. The side with the agility equipment has a ground covered primarily in a combination of sand, gravel, and wood chips. Trees are scattered throughout the park and provide some shade for you and many sniffing opportunities for your dog.
For the convenience of all our park visitors, the City Bark at City Park also has water fountains, dog poop bags, and accessible sidewalks and lighting. Garbage cans are conveniently placed throughout the park so you can pick-up after your dog. The City of Pueblo reminds owners that they enter the park at their own risk and that they should follow general dog-park rules.
Some of the rules dog owners must abide by when visiting the City Bark at City Park in Pueblo include that your dog must respond to your voice commands, aggressive dogs should be removed immediately, and that you must clean up after your dog immediately. Also, handlers must be over 18, and any children under 13 must be with an adult at all times.
You cannot bring in treats for your dog or even yourself, glass containers, and no alcohol or drugs. You must also make sure your dog is more than four months old, not in heat, and is not aggressive. If you have never taken your furbaby to a dog park and are not sure how your dog will behave with other dogs, you should take your pup at a slow time to get him acclimated to the environment.
