This pawsitively awesome community playground is a pawpular gathering spot for people and their pooches looking for some outdoor fun. Originally named Durham Park, this pawrific play space was renamed on February 8th, 1983, to honor Sister Clara Muhammad, the First Lady of the Nation of Islam. 

You are more than welcome to bring your best canine pal to join you for your day of fun at Clara Mohammad Square. To be sure to keep the Philly pawlice happy, you'll need to keep Fido on his leash at all times in accordance with the city's doggo by-laws. 

There are lots of terrierific things you can do with your main canine squeeze at Clara Mohammad Square. If you fancy a restful afternoon taking in some rays on the grass, you are bound to have a barking great time! There are also many pawsome benches throughout the park where you can relax and enjoy the pawrifically beautiful sights around you. If a picnic lunch was more what you had in mind, you and your fave pooch can enjoy the shade of the on-premise gazebo while you feast on the snacks you prepared. Don't forget to include some bottled water and cleanup bags among your park essentials as neither is provided at this doggone amazing park. 

If you were hoping to burn off a few extra calories, why not leash up your best canine pal and head out for a stroll on one of Clara Muhammad Square's abundant walkways? You will enjoy taking in the beautiful sights and work up an appetite too. After your walk, you can stop by the splash pad for a quick cool down. You and your fave pooch will feel most refreshed after doing so!
