The Clinton Lake State Recreation Area fosters adventure, excitement, and pure bliss for every visitor that comes into the Illinois area. Whether you are looking to hike, to bike, or even to camp, this lake region will provide you with endless fun. The Clinton Lake State Recreation Area covers over 3,600 acres, and Clinton Lake covers around 4,900 acres, making this a fabulous spot for all types of recreational activity. 

During your time in the Clinton Lake State Recreation Area, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. You will find the beautiful lake, diverse terrain, hiking trails, biking trails, picnic tables, picnic shelters, campgrounds, an archery range, a beach area, horseback riding trails, and availability for metal detecting, boating, swimming, water skiing, fishing, hunting, and even jet skiing. 

Dogs can also come to the Clinton Lake State Recreation Area, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. Note that dogs are not allowed on the beach. When you come to check out this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by park officials. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must stay home. 

All furbuddies and their humans must be well-mannered before they come to the Clinton Lake State Recreation Area as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior. Also, humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. In addition, pet parents should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park.
