Cliveden Park

In the East Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, you can find a great treat for you and your doggo. Cliveden Park is a small piece of nature featuring rolling hills, open grassy areas, and tall trees. It’s a must to add to your route on your morning walk with Fifi! Here you can enjoy some quality time with your family, meet the neighbors, get some invigorating exercise, or commune with nature.

This rectangular park encompasses an entire block, with access to the fieldhouse on Musgraves Street. There are also park access points from the three other bordering streets. The park is maintained by Friends of Cliveden Park, who keep the space clean, safe, and family-oriented. One of the main purposes of the park is stormwater management by means of the rain garden. This rain garden captures runoff from adjacent streets, and helps reduces stormwater volume by infiltrating it into the existing wetland in the park. This not only helps the community, but it’s an attractive feature in the park itself!

Some other furtastic features in Cliveden Park include a scenic bridge, a jungle gym, and benches. These can all be found in your travels with your pooch along the walking paths that meander through the park. The hills in this park make for a great workout, and you may end up with a tuckered out pup! There are some pretty picnic spaces here too, so pack a lunch if you want to stick around for a while.

Puppers are welcome to join their humans in this park, as long as they follow proper petiquette. This includes staying leashed and under control, and leaving only paw prints. Don’t forget to bring some doggy waste bags! Your pup may have some great opportunities for socialization here, so be sure they always show respect to others.
