The Tinley Dog Park is located at 84th Ave and 183rd St, north of the Metra tracks in Tinley Park, IL. The property spans 10 acres of three separate fenced areas for pets, as a cooperative project between the Tinley Park-Park District and Orland Township.
The park is open to visitors all year round, from dawn to dusk, with the possibility of restricting certain hours due to scheduled maintenance. There is no current mention of restrooms available for the public, however, the park’s facilities will most likely be included, as the property is designed to be a special place for dogs and owners alike.
This large area provides a separate small dog area, as well as one area which will be closed to maintain the quality of the turf. All of the three areas (small dog, large dog, and closed space) will be rotated to allow the turf in each area to regrow in a cycle. Inside the designated areas, dogs will be allowed to run off-leash at all times.
There is also an annual fee owners need to purchase in order to join the park. The dog park pass can be purchased at any time and it will be given to each individual dog, owners bring at the park. Residents of the Tinley Park District and Orland Township will need to pay a fee of $50 for their first dog, while village residents and non-residents will contribute with $70 and $90, respectively.
Tinley Dog Park will provide all dog owners and their pets with benches, water fountains (one for dogs and one for people), shelters, an agility course, waste disposal bags to pick up after their dogs as well as plenty of open space to run. If you’re searching for a large dog park, complete with all the necessary amenities for you and your furry friend in the Tinley Park district, look no further than this off-leash, private dog park.
