Danehy Dog Park

Located inside the lovely Danehy Park, you and your pup will love playing in the Danehy Dog Park! You can find the dog area in the north of the park, near the New Street entrance, with lots of available parking. 

Once inside the fully fenced in dog park, your dog can ditch the leash and explore freely. With a separate area for smaller pups, this park is pawfect for every dog. A double gated entry provides extra safety. Both large and small runs are covered in gravel and provide benches for the humans. The large area even has covered benches to help beat the sun. A smaller third area without any extra amenities is also on site. Fresh drinking water is provided to keep every pup hydrated. Toys such as frisbees and balls are also provided to help burn off some energy, and clean-up bags are on site for picking up after your dog.

There's plenty of space for dogs to play and get out those wiggles, but if your dog gets their fill of the dog park, you can clip on the leash and explore the rest of Danehy Park. This meticulously landscaped 50 acres attracts runners, walkers, and nature lovers alike. There are a number of trails and paths, and sports fields and recreational activities, making it an ideal spot for Fido AND the kids to visit together. After a rousing game of basketball or tennis, you and your family can enjoy the picnic tables and one of the many charcoal pits for a lovely outdoor meal. For younger children, there are some fantastic play areas and a water sports section. Restrooms for the humans can be found near the children's playground by Sherman Street, but do bring clean-up bags for your pup.

You will need to get a current city of Cambridge dog license to enjoy the Danehy Dog Park, and other off leash areas in the city. Annual licenses run $10, or $30 for unaltered dogs, and require a current rabies vaccination.
