Access to this dog haven is fee-based. The town of Brookline requires that all dog owners obtain an annual permit at the cost of $50 for area residents and $100 for non-residents. Alternatively, park day passes can be purchased at the Brookline Town Clerk's office. Membership dues permit park access for a full calendar year.
Massachusetts law requires all dogs to have a current rabies vaccination and to be licensed with the city. Both tags should be prominently displayed on your dog's collar. In addition to this, it is highly recommended that all dogs be vaccinated for Bordatella and with the DA2PP vaccine.
Daniel J. Warren Playground is also home to fields well-suited to various athletic pursuits. Tennis courts are housed on the grounds as well. It is not known if bathrooms are available on-site for public use. Additionally, it is also unknown if a supply of fresh water is accessible to help keep Fido well-hydrated. For this reason, owners should bring a bottle of water and a suitable drinking vessel with them.
It is also not known if complimentary poop bags are provided on-site. Owners are required to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste in a prompt fashion to help preserve the cleanliness of the park for all to enjoy. For a great visit to a beloved city park, consider a visit to Daniel J. Warren Playground Off-Leash Dog Area.
