In addition to this, owners are asked to carry a leash with them at all times in case of an emergency. It is not known if this park houses a play area specifically for use by small dogs.Â
Entrance to this doggy play haven is fee-based, and membership is required for residents and encouraged for non-residents. For residents of the Brookline area, membership dues are $50 per year with non-resident dues costing $100 annually. Commercial dog walkers pay slightly higher prices at $100 for area residents and $200 for non-residents. For guests visiting the area, a two-day park permit can be purchased for $5. Benches are available on-site in shaded areas to allow owners a quiet place to relax while observing their dogs at play. It is not known if water is provided on the premises to help meet Fido's hydration needs or if there are public bathroom facilities at this park. It is also unknown if complimentary poop bags are available; however, Massachusetts state law requires all owners to carry bags with them to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste.
Though no official rules govern the use of this public space, it is wise for all dogs to be current on vaccinations. Additionally, it is advisable for all dogs to bear the appropriate required state license tag. For a relaxing afternoon in a fun, dog-friendly park, make a trip to Coolidge Park Off-Leash Dog Area!
