Del Monte Beach

If your California dreaming has you craving a day by the sea, pack up Fido and the fam and head straight for Del Monte Beach! This pawsitively awesome oceanside haven is a favorite haunt amongst Monterey locals who have claimed it as their own. Their pooches love to tag along too! A tranquil spot, this stunningly beautiful beach is not heavily trafficked, making it the pawrfect spot to take in some sun and navigate the surf. 

These white sand shores are a pawsome place for you and your fave pooch to enjoy a leisurely stroll. While you meander along, why not do some beachcombing? You just might find a furrific shell or piece of sea glass to add to your collection! After a day of roaming the coastline, what could be more puptastic than a dip in the ocean? Whether you choose to doggy paddle around or surf, you will find the ocean's waters invigorating! Fido may join you on the land and at sea, but you must keep him on a leash at all times or risk a not-so-fur-iendly run-in with the California paw patrol!

There are so many woofderful things to do at Del Monte Beach you'll wish you could stay all week! Among some of the most pawpular activities are sunbathing, picnicking, biking, and even hiking through the sand dunes. If checking out the local wildlife sounds like fun, you won't be disappointed with what you will discover at Del Monte Beach! If Lady Luck shines down on you, you might even catch a glimpse of some dolphins or whales frolicking in their ocean playground. A doggone awesome sight to behold!

Don't forget to pack bottled water, some snacks, and cleanup sacks in with your other beach essentials, and always stoop and scoop. There is plenty of free pawrking at this pawrific beach, and there are also exceptionally clean bathrooms for the pawblic to use.
