DiMattina Dog Park

Dogs in Brooklyn have a pawsome getaway spot inside the Dimattina Playground. Just south of the playground and adjacent ballfield, pups and their pawrents can enjoy some leash-free fun at the Dimattina Playground Dog Run!

This furbulous park has everything! Got a big dog? They've love meeting and greeting other neighborhood pups in this shaded, fenced-in space. Have a petite pooch? They can relax and play at their own pace in a separate enclosure. With a clean, gravel surface, you're dog won't get muddy in this playspace. 

During the summer, dogs can cool off in a bone-shaped pool, and get a drink from the on-site hoses, just bring a bowl for convenience. In the winter, the water is turned off, so be sure to bring your own water too! Benches are scattered throughout, making pawfect places to watch your dog get out their wiggles. 

While entrance to the playground and ballfield are in the northern end, you'll want to swing around to the Hick Street gate to enter the dog park. Be sure your dog is current on their rabies vaccination, and is licensed, with proof of both on hand. Keep your dog leashed as you enter and exit the dog run, and anywhere outside of it. 

Restrooms for the humans in your pack can be found near the playground, but note that dogs are prohibited there and from the ballfield. The dog run is lighted for those late-nighters who need a good run before bed. Whenever you decide to go, be sure to always have clean-up bags on hand to pick up after your playful pup.
