Duff Park Off Leash Dog Area

The Duff Park Off-Leash Area is separated into two dog park sections and another section for all dogs which spans almost seven acres of fenced land, boarded by the Rappahannock River on one side. All three areas of the property feature plenty of grass, shaded zones, agility equipment, toys and lots of places for people to sit.

The expansive location of the Duff Park Off-Leash Area has a small dog park section for little dogs, a park for dogs over 30 pounds, as well as a large off-leash area for all sizes of dogs to enjoy. There are sports fields and nature trails that run through the wood, right next to the river, while the large grassy area makes this an ideal location for Fido to run, play and exercise during the day. 

Water and bag dispensers are provided at the Duff Park Off-Leash Area so visitors can pick up after their four-legged buddies and keep the area clean. There are also plenty of trash bins around for owners to dispose of the waste bags. Dogs are not allowed on the playgrounds, and they must always be on a leash when leaving the designated area. 

Owners also need to make sure they have complete voice control over their pets and never leave them unattended. Furthermore, dogs need to be leashed near sports fields and parking lots as well. If you plan on going to the semi-enclosed area that is open to the river, be sure to bring some towels since the ground will most likely be muddy. 

You can go on a hike along the river or fetch with your four-legged best friend at the park area of your choosing. There is plenty of vegetation around, so you can take a relaxing walk alongside your pup while enjoying the fresh air. Overall, the Duff Park Off-Leash Area is a wonderful way to spend the day with your furry buddy.
