East Greenbush Town Dog Park
Lucky East Greenbush pups know where the pawty's at! Located in the southern area of the beautiful East Greenbush Town Park is the puptastic East Greenbush Town Dog Park. Available only to resident pups, this pupperdise can be found at the southern end of Town Park road, and is sure to please your doggo.
Since this park is fully fenced in, you can take off the leash once inside the double gated entry and let your dog run free. With lots of room to roam, dogs of all sizes can mix and mingle in this large enclosure. The terrain is mixed with most areas consisting of grass, while a few landscaped areas feature dirt and smooth stones. Picnic tables provide a place for you to relax while your dog socializes, and hoses are available for water, so bring a bowl for your pup to get a cool drink. There's lots of shade from trees on all sides, and since this area is set apart from the rest of the developed park, you and your dog can truly feel immersed in nature.
Before coming to the dog park, be sure your dog is fully vaccinated and licensed, and is wearing the appropriate tags on their collar. You will also need a permit which runs $15 for spayed and neutered dogs, or $20 for unaltered pups. Also have clean-up bags on hand, and always pick up whatever your dog leaves behind.
Once your dog has had their fill of the off leash area, you can clip on the leash and explore the paths and natural spaces in the adjacent forested area. Full of trees, this is a pawfect place for a nature stroll. Go far enough and you can check out the shoreline and waters of the North Branch Moordener Kill which flows along the east side of the park.
In the developed areas of East Greenbush Town Park, you can find playgrounds, sporting fields and courts, picnic areas, barbeque grills, horseshoe setups, fishing areas, non-motorized boating areas, ice skating areas, and the Red Barn which can be rented for events.
