Edmond Dog Park (at Bickham-Rudkin Park)

The lovely Edmond Dog Park at Bickham-Rudkin Park is a 5-acre property designated for dogs to run off-leash. This exquisite park is unique because it has a pond for dogs to swim and splash around in the water. The park also provides a doggie water fountain to help keep dogs hydrated while playing at the park. 

A mandatory park rule demands pet parents to clean up after their dog. The dog park provides a waste station that includes doggie poop bags and a trash can. You can always bring waste bags with you in case the dispenser is out during your visit to the park. 

Your dog must have current vaccinations and a license tag located on their collar when visiting the park. Dog owners must keep your dog on a leash until you are inside the designated dog park area with the gate closed. You also need to put the leash on your dog before leaving the enclosed gate. 

There is no smoking in the dog park area since cigarette butts are harmful if consumed by a dog. Avoid bringing human or pet food and treats into the park. It causes other dogs to attempt to eat the food and can lead to aggressive behavior. 

Dogs that exhibit aggressive behavior towards others need to be removed from the dog park immediately. Place a leash on your dog and exit the dog park. Only re-enter the designated area if your dog is no longer showing signs of aggression. Dog owners are responsible for their pets behavior towards others and any injury or damage done to others. 

Overall, this is a beautiful dog park that has a vast amount of space to exercise and socialize your dog. Smaller dogs and elderly dogs that are slow-moving and gentle have their own section away from larger more energetic dogs. This lovely park is also a great place to meet other pet parents and set up future play dates.
