Though there is not an area specifically designated for use by small dogs at Elm Creek Off-Leash Dog Area, all dogs are welcome to join the fun in the singular on-premise enclosure. In case of an emergency situation, all owners should maintain a lead with them.
Dogs must remain leashed in all other areas of the park including the trails which permit dog access. Elm Creek Off-Leash Dog Area is a private dog play haven. Membership is required to access the property and is fee-based. A daily pass can be purchased online or via a pay box at any Champlin off-leash park area.
The cost is $6. For owners wishing to purchase a yearly pass, their initial $6 park pass fee can be applied towards the $45 cost for an annual permit. Taxes are applicable upon all membership fees. A pass must be carried with all owners during their time at the park.
A current rabies vaccination is required of all dogs as is a city dog license. Proof of their dog's up to date immunization against rabies must be carried by each owner at all times. Elm Creek Off-Leash Dog Area is also home to a fenced pond that dogs may freely enjoy. At this time, no amenities are provided in this beautiful, natural space.
Owners should bring water, a dog dish, lawn chairs, and poop bags. For families looking for a little adventure, this park also offers dog trails, geocaching, horseback riding, nature viewing, and skijoring and dog sledding (in season). For a day at a park Fido and the whole family will love, plan a trip to Elm Creek Off-Leash Dog Area!
