Loveland, Colorado is a lovely land filled with things to do! The name speaks for itself, people are kind and loving, and the city is known to be very community oriented. With plenty of events to choose from, this place is worth traveling to, and you might as well bring the whole family including your pup because there are outdoor events, pet-friendly ones, and parks.
One park in particular called, Fairgrounds Dog Park opened up in September 2008 and is highly talked about. It is an off-leash park that’s fenced and filled with greenery for your dog to enjoy, and a separate area for small or shy dogs who may need to warm up to the crowd. There are benches, picnic tables, and drinking fountains for all the owners to enjoy and a shady structure to sit under when it gets too hot out.
There’s no need to look for restrooms in the surrounding area as this park provides it, and it’s all free of charge! This place has the space for all dogs to enjoy without having to worry about overcrowding, it is well maintained and will continue to be if you do your part and clean up after yourself and your dog. If you happen to forget dog waste baggies, no worries! There are plenty provided at the park.
Although the Fairgrounds Dog Park is an off-leash area, it’s important to keep an eye on your furry friend at all times to make sure he’s not partying too hard and knows when it’s time to go home. This also allows you to keep your dog safe if he has a disagreement with another pup. All in all, the Fairgrounds Dog Park offers you and your loved ones a place to meet and mingle with the community, play some catch or frisbee and enjoy the fresh air.
