Dogs in Castle Rock know the most woofderful spot in town is at the Fairgrounds Regional Dog Park. Located in the very southeastern corner of Fairgrounds Regional Park, this pupperdise is sure to satisfy the need to run free in your pup.
This picturesque dog park offers a large, fully fenced enclosure where dogs of all sizes can mix and mingle. With a soft grass terrain, this is one park that's easy on the paws. Two sections adjacent to each other that are about an acre each are rotated for use, meaning the ground stays healthy and pawrific for dogs to play on. Benches are located in both sections, providing places for you to relax while your dog gets socialized. A few trees offer small areas of shade for beating the summer heat.
Parking is conveniently located right outside the dog enclosures, making access a breeze. Porta-potties can be found right off of the parking area for the humans, but it is unknown if clean-up bags for pups are available in the park, so its best to bring your own. Always pick up whatever your dog leaves behind to keep this park clean for all. Also bring drinking water and a bowl for your thirsty pup. For those wishing to enjoy a light lunch on the grounds, a picnic shelter is provided right outside the dog run near the entrance.
Be sure to keep your dog on a lead when entering and leaving the dog play area, as well as in all other areas of the park. For families seeking a day of fun, the Fairgrounds Regional Park has a playground, picnic areas, and a variety of sports fields. Fairgrounds Regional Park also provides access to nearby hiking trails, such as the dog-friendly Sellars Gulch Trail.
To get out those wiggles and get that tail wagging, bring your dog to the furtastic Fairgrounds Regional Dog Park!
