They require you to keep your canine within visual and under voice control at all times. They must not show any aggression toward other dogs, and they must be up to date on their vaccinations. Assuming you meet those conditions, you couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to spend the day with your dog. Picnics are permitted on the island and you are welcome to bring all your own things, however, glass containers are not permitted and alcohol is not allowed.
This island remains specifically undeveloped. Due to this, many of the amenities you might find at other local dog parks may not be available. For instance, there are no restrooms on the island. You need to bring your own water, your own bags for your canines waste, and any games or toys you intend to enjoy with your canine. That being said, access to this island is at no cost.
Unlike most areas of the state, there are bonfire rings located around the island. Inside these rings, you are allowed to have fires, even though the state is in a constant state of fire warnings and bans. This makes for a unique attraction, few things are more enjoyable than having a picnic by the fire on the beach. There is free parking throughout the island. Though the park is free, large groups and events may have a fee associated, and any parties that occur, the hosts must supply an ample amount of portapotties for their guests.
