This park is enormous and as odd as it is to say, state-of-the-art. The park features playgrounds, sports fields, and aquatic facilities. There are tennis courts and a large outdoor Olympic sized pool. The dog park is a vast field. The grass stays very well maintained and in good shape throughout the year.
Founders Park has tall trees that produce some ample shade for the visitors of the park. There are also shade structures in the park that are above picnic tables to have lunch with the family, though your canine must remain on a leash inside these sections of the park.
There are also increased costs for using the dog park on specific holidays, consult their website for a schedule. The dog park has many amenities that you would expect out of a paid dog park. Poop bags are provided, and garbage cans are readily available. There is water at this park so you and your canine can stay hydrated.
Public restrooms are also available here. All of the grounds and facilities at this park are well maintained and remain in good shape year round. This park has a large walking path around it as well, so you can get in some exercise yourself while your canine romps and plays with the other canines who have come to the park.
The Founder's Park Dog Park is also lit and stays open until the surrounding park closes in the evening. If you don't mind paying the $8 fee or if you are a resident of the surrounding area, then this dog park makes for a great place to bring your canine to get some socialization and exercise.
