Franklin Terrace Dog Park (near Riverside Park)

The Franklin Terrace Dog Park is located near Riverside Park. There are entrances on West River Parkway and Franklin Terrace. Street parking is available for your convenience. The annual fee for altered dogs is $30, and for unaltered dogs, the fee is $50. Proof of vaccinations and license are required at time of registration. You can purchase your permit through the city. 

This fenced-in dog park is 1.6 acres of open space for your dog to run and play. It has benches located in the park for pet parents to relax while their dogs socialize and play. You can also bring a ball to play a game of fetch with your dog. The Franklin Terrace Dog Park is large, and your dog will have a great time running around, but they might get dehydrated quick so make sure you bring along water and a bowl. 

There are tall lush trees that surround the dog park, but they don’t provide a lot of shade. Many people bring umbrellas to block the sun on hot days. Dogs will have a great time socializing with others at this quaint park. Dogs that show aggression need to leave the designated immediately on a leash with their pet parents. Dogs that bite, fight or cause damage to property should no longer visit the park. 

Overall, the Franklin Terrace Dog Park is a fun park to visit with your dog on a daily basis. There is plenty of room to play and run, other dogs to socialize with, and a great chance to bond with your dog. Remember to clean up after your pet by bringing along doggie poop bags and disposing of them in the available trash cans located nearby. You can also meet other pet parents at the park and set up doggie play dates.
