The Freedom Dog Park is a public dog park located in Evans, Colorado. This off-leash dog park was opened in June 2009 and has since become a favorite destination among the local dog owners community for canine playtime, socialization, and off-leash exercise.
This amazing dog park has a very well-thought-out layout that consists of four separate areas for dogs to roam freely in. One section is meant for small dog breeds while another spacious area accommodates large dogs. The two remaining sections are equipped with agility obstacles, such as swings and an A-frame, and are meant for dog training.
All four sections provide plenty of space for dogs to stretch their legs, play games of fetch and get their daily dose of leash-free fun. There is also a possibility to combine the areas by opening the gates, which is a great option for when the park is less crowded, and you want your pooch to have even more space to run around and play.
The Freedom Dog Park's surface consists of well-groomed grassy areas, as well as some gravel spots. There are several trees growing throughout the park which provide an adequate amount of shade for dogs to cool off in. There is a fire hydrant, water fountains for canine hydration, and free dog waste bag dispensers that encourage the dog owners to tidy up after their dogs.
Also, trash cans are conveniently scattered across the park which is one of the reasons this park is so clean and well maintained. Finding seating is never a problem either as Freedom dog park is equipped with plenty of picnic tables and benches for dog owners to relax on as they watch their pooches play. Parking is a breeze too as the parking lot is very spacious and usually there are some empty spots available even on the busier days.
