Freedom Lake Dog Park

The Freedom Lake Dog park is an off-leash dog park in Pinellas Park, Florida. This dog park is part of the city's Freedom Lake Park which is reserved for the off-leash exercising of fluffy Florida fur babies. Freedom Lake Park is a favorite place with the local population for walking, fishing, and picnicking too. The park has a lot which is right next to the off-leash dog park. 

The two enclosures of this dog park in Pinellas Park are securely fenced with eight-foot-high chain mesh. That's great, as pet parents can let their pups off-leash without fear of encountering an alligator which has crawled out the lake. Yes, this dog park might be right by the shoreline but pups going in the water is a definite no go. 

They don't mind too much about not getting a swim as both compounds are equipped with agility apparatus, have lots of grassy ground to explore and trees to scent mark. The dog park is also popular with local retirees who enjoy the socializing when out with their fur babies as much as their pups do. 

There's always some good canine company for pups to practice their dog park etiquette with and it's all size related as small and large breeds have individual runs. While the pups might not be able to jump in the lake, they do get to freshen up in the splash pools which are provided in summer. 

There are drinking fountains for them and plenty of poop bag dispensers for owners to put to good use. There are trash containers for dumping used bags, and if pet parents find picking up their pup's poop tiring, which it can be if a pup poops a lot, they can take a well-earned rest on one of the many benches. What they can't do is light up a cigarette as smoking is prohibited in the off-leash areas.
