This park is well known for it's excellent athletic facilities, including tennis courts, fenced baseball diamonds, soccer fields and football fields. As with all NYC parks, dogs are not allowed on ball fields or courts, but they are welcome to cheer along with you from the sidelines.Â
Your pal may not allowed on the sports fields, but your furry little athlete is welcome to burn off some energy on the surrounding expansive grassy areas with you. These areas will be a sight for sore eyes and sore paws after walking around the concrete streets of Brooklyn. The wide open green spaces are ideal to take a nap under a tree with your best pal, go for a jog, or let simply let your pup sniff and play. Some other furtastic features in this park are the picnic areas and playgrounds. These additions make the park an excellent place to bring the whole family, or host a gathering.Â
Friends Field welcomes pups with both paws, as long as a few rules are followed. You'll need to keep your four-legged friend on a leash no more than 6 feet long, and picked up after at all times. There are waste receptacles in the park, but don't forget to bring some waste bags! Please be sure your curious canine is respectful towards all, including humans, other dogs, and wildlife.Â
With all the woofderful things to do in Friends Field, it's sure to put a wag in your dog's tail!Â
