Friends Forever Dog Park

Friends Forever Dog Park is an initiative by the Friends Forever Humane Society of Freeport, Illinois. This award-winning dedicated dog facility has earned the distinction of being classified among the top 10 dog parks in the United States and has also been featured in Pet Fancy magazine. Friends Forever Dog Park is situated on 10 acres of land and boasts of two fully fenced play areas where dogs can enjoy off-leash play. One of the two enclosures is reserved exclusively for use by small dogs. These dog runs are equipped with agility equipment and a large pond to help keep Fido's mind and body well-stimulated. It is important to note that during the winter months the pond is closed. 

Access to this private doggy play haven is fee-based. Memberships are available to Humane Society members for $60 for the first dog and $48 for each additional one. Non-members can purchase a yearly pass for $120. Yearly memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Alternatively, visitors can purchase a park visit pass for $5. This permits access to the facilities for one visit but not for an entire day unless the dog remains on the premises for that length of time. 

Park officials have placed some restrictions upon membership to this beloved doggy play space. At the time of registration, owners must provide proof of vaccinations. Friends Forever Humane Society requires that all dogs be current on vaccinations for Rabies as well as receive the inoculation for DHLP. They also highly recommend the Bordatella vaccine. All dogs enjoying the runs must bear current rabies tags on their collars, and their owners must complete and sign documents outlining the rules for the park as well as a waiver and a release form. 

Water is available on the premises to help keep Fido well-hydrated. Bathrooms are also accessible for public use. Complimentary poop bags are provided on-site.
