Gateway Dog Grounds (at Triangle Park)

There are many dog-friendly cities across the United States, but none quite like that of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The city of Minneapolis and the Friends Of Triangle Park came together to create Gateway Dog Grounds. The dog park is owned by the city, however, it is maintained by the Friends Of Triangle Park. The Triangle Park itself is a lush garden in the heart of this magnificent city. 

All of the plants, trees, and flowers have been planted by volunteers and members of the Friends of Triangle Park. This place is like an oasis in the city. Since the whole Gateway Dog Grounds is managed by local volunteers when visiting the Gateway Dog Grounds at Triangle Park be sure to always clean up after yourself and your pooch. 

It takes a lot of work to keep a park like this going and it really helps if you are active in keeping it safe and clean for your pet. Gateway Dog Grounds is a fully fenced off-leash arena for your beloved pet. The park does not have running water or bathrooms, so please plan accordingly when you are visiting. Dogs are only allowed off-leash in the fenced in area. 

If you would like to walk and enjoy the Triangle Park gardens a little please be sure to put your pet on-leash before doing so. Also, the park ground is more of sandy soft dirt. There is not much grass or places within the fenced area. However, this is a friendly park frequently visited by amazing four-legged friends and their owners.

In a busy city like Minneapolis, off-leash areas are sometimes hard to find, but Minneapolis made this park top notch for city dogs and their owners. If you are in the area or planning a trip with your pooch, stop in at Gateway Dog Grounds at Triangle Park for some socializing and exercise. A day in the sun is always a fun day with your furry friend!
