General Coffee Park

In Nicholls, Georgia is a great state park that you and your pooch are sure to love. In the state of Georgia, dogs are allowed on-leash at all of the state parks. The leash cannot be longer than six feet, however. Many of the state park campgrounds are also very dog-friendly. Georgia does not allow dogs in historic areas, some camps, lodges, and on a few of the trails at Tallulah Gorge and Panola Mountainside.

General Coffee State Park is quite a scenic park with trails, picnic areas, camping, and so much more. You can enjoy walking and hiking the four miles of trails within the state park with your dog by your side, provided he or she is on-leash. While some campgrounds, such as group camping, do not allow for dogs to stay, there are several dog-friendly accommodations nearby. 

This state park is 1,511 acres of pure outdoor fun. There is are cottages, a lake, campsites, picnic shelters, an amphitheater and so much more at General Coffee State Park. And, if needed, there is wi-fi in the park office. While visiting General Coffee Grounds State Park, your dog should be accompanied at all times. 

Never leave your dog alone, especially at the cottages. Please clean up after your dogs. Also, please do not tie dogs to fences, trees, or anchor their leash into the ground. The General Coffee Grounds State Park is frequented by many and if everyone pitches in to keep it safe and clean, then all guests will be able to continue to enjoy it.

All in all, the General Coffee Grounds State Park has something for everyone, including your four-legged friends.
