Giacobbe Street Dog Run
This pawsitively awesome doggy playground was formerly known as the Pemberton Street Dog Run due to its location on the street of the same name. This run is one of several fenced dog enclosures in the Cambridge area which allows pupperonis to enjoy off-leash play and socialization. Pups of all shapes, sizes, and breeds may pawrty on in the fenced run at Giacobbe Dog Run. Be sure to have a leash on hand as you will need to keep your best canine pal on lead when not in the designated off-leash area.Â
Giacobbe Dog Run is easy peasy to find, smack dab behind the Anderson Courts. If your family enjoys outdoor sports, why not bring them all along? The kiddies can enjoy a game of tennis or basketball at Anderson Courts while your pooch gets their zoomie groove on in the dog run. Just be sure to remember that in accordance with Boston by-laws, doggoes are not permitted on pawblic playgrounds or basketball courts.Â
The dog run at this pawrific play haven is quite narrow, but it is also long. There is lots of wooftastic shade provided from the many trees. You will also find a limited amount of seating where you can kick back and enjoy watching your main canine squeeze make some new pals. Also found on the grounds is a beautiful cement walkway on the opposite side of the park where you can take your fave pooch for a leisurely stroll after their day of park fun has come to a close.Â
Though Giacobbe Dog Run does not impose many rules on canine visitors to their play space, park officials do ask that all dogs bear a current Cambridge dog license tag on their collars. You will also need to bring along drinking water and clean up bags with you from home.Â
