There are water fountains on cement to prevent muddy sections and muddy paws. Make sure Fido gets enough to drink on hot days to stay cool and hydrated. The park is separated by a chain linked fence into two sections-one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Both sides have double gated entries for safety and both sides offer the agility equipment and water fountains.
Be sure to bring bags to clean up after Fido, and be sure to use the bathroom before you hit the dog park. The park does have restrooms for humans, but the restrooms are near the entrance, not at the dog park. You and your dog can explore the rest of the park's amenities by following the nature trail, passing by the children's playground, or looking at the pond, just make sure when Fido is not in the fenced-in dog park, he is on-leash.
Other park rules include your dog be licensed and wearing his tag, as well as being trained to listen to your command. Aggressive dogs and dogs in heat are not welcome in the park. If your dog digs a hole, please fill it in. Dogs demonstrating aggressive behavior should be removed from the park, and if there is a serious problem or incident, you can contact Animal Control to voice a complaint about the dog park.
